Agios Dimitrios Kythnos beach, located in the resort of the same name on the western side of the island, is the southernmost of all the beaches on Kythnos. With its wide and sandy shoreline, clear waters and rock formations at its edges, the beach is perfect for a family swim. Thanks to its mild gradient, it is neither too shallow nor too deep, making it a great place for both children and adults to enjoy a dip!

The beach is adorned with plenty of “Armiriki” trees, which provide visitors with a shady spot to relax in and make for a delightful holiday. Many of these trees form clusters, making it the perfect spot for a seaside picnic. Whether you decide to bring your own food or purchase some snacks and drinks from the beachside shops, you'll be sure to have a great time.

There are also two restaurants where visitors can sample the local delicacies, including sfougato and strapatsada with vegetables from the vegetable gardens in the area and goat meat sourced from the local farms. Moreover, there are several guest rooms nearby.

Agios Dimitrios beach, though located in a remote area, has a well-made asphalt road leading to it, making it a popular destination for bathers especially in August. During that month, the sand is filled with fragrant lilies, and the sight of boats moored in the sea makes the scenery even more idyllic. At sunset, one can take in the beauty of the surroundings, creating a truly magical moment.
