Episkopi beach in Kythnos is a family-friendly and well-organized beach, located in the northwestern part of the island, about two kilometers away from the port of Mericha. It is a 500-meter long sandy beach with gentle slopes and crystal-clear shallow waters, ideal for swimming. At the southern end of the beach, visitors can enjoy the sunbeds, umbrellas and music provided by the beach bar, while scattered tamarisk trees offer shade and the calming sound of their leaves in the breeze to those who prefer a more tranquil experience.

Episkopi beach, located close to the port and with easy access, is attractive to a variety of groups. From families with small children to young people playing beach games and swimming, to older people swimming with their grandchildren, you will find it all here. There is a Beach Bar at the southern end of the beach, allowing guests to listen to music and enjoy refreshments, drinks, and snacks. Keep in mind that there are no other food options on the beach or in Episkopi, apart from Mericha.

The tiny chapel of Agios Vlassis is located in the northern section of the beach. It stands at the end of a stretch of sand, atop the rocky outcroppings that form a small hill. From this viewpoint, the beach stretches out in front of you, and the bay – with its gorgeous horizon – can be seen to the left. The settlement perched on the hill to your right adds to the picturesque scene, making it a perfect spot to take photos.
