Description
Preveza occupies a strategic yet vulnerable position, making its fortifications crucial for defense. The Ottoman Turks were the first to fortify the city in the 15th century. Their initial fortress, the Castle of Buca, was later dismantled, and its materials were used to construct the Castles of Agios Andreas and Agios Georgios.
