Description

Preveza occupies a strategic but vulnerable location, making its fortification essential. The Ottoman Turks were the first to fortify the city in the 15th century. Their initial fortress, the Castle of Buca, was later dismantled, and its materials were repurposed to construct the castles of Agios Andreas and Agios Georgios.
