Description
The Venetians evidently recognized the strategic value of the acropolis, and around the 15th century (or possibly earlier), they built a small fortress along with a tower at this site. The tower had line-of-sight communication with other towers in the area, such as the Kutumula Tower.
The tower originally measured 7.20 meters by 4.90 meters. Today, only the southeastern corner stands at its original height, while remnants of the other walls are scattered across the hill. An old photograph indicates that the tower was in better condition about five decades ago.
