Description
The beach of Kedros is located approximately one kilometer from Stavros, the capital and the sheltered port of the island, east of Cape Kavos Panagias. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Donoussa in a small and sheltered bay in the southern part of the island.
The enchanting beauty of the beach makes the place particularly attractive especially in August, which creates an influx of people.
The coast is wonderful and sandy with low vegetation while the waters are crystal clear and blue-green with a sandy bottom as well.
It does not have an organization, so if you want shade you will need to make sure you have your own equipment. Otherwise, since camping is allowed on the beach, you can simply pitch your tent. Something that is a main feature of this particular beach.
It may not have umbrellas and sunbeds but it has a beautiful bar / cafe / canteen ready to offer you coffees, drinks, quick snacks and food throughout the day. There are many times when various events are organized.
Finally, don't forget to have your mask, as at the bottom of the sea, there is the carcass of a ship, the destroyer "Orion" that sunk there during the Second World War.
Road access is easy via the ring road that stops above the beach and there via the cobbled path that ends up on the beach.
Alternatively, you will need about 20 minutes from Stavros if you decide to walk, while there is also a path that connects the beach with the settlement of Mesaria.
Finally, you can also arrive by sea with the local boats that depart from Stavros.
