Description
Prassa beach is located in the northeastern part of Kimolos within Pigadi Bay. It is located at a distance of about 5 kilometers from the country of the island and a little less than 8 kilometers from the port of the island.
It is perhaps one of the most beautiful beaches of Kimolos since the white rock (chalk) gives the sea wonderful shades of blue.
At the entrance of the settlement of the same name there are thermal springs and you will also find the old ship loading ladder.
It is a relatively small beach with a length of 200 meters covered by white coarse sand of incredible beauty and texture with betonite hills surrounding it.
The amazing blue-green waters creating an exotic landscape gradually deepen and thus create suitable conditions for small children.
Part of the beach is organized and you will find sunbeds and umbrellas while from the beach bar that works you will be able to get coffee or a drink as well as some quick snacks to nibble on.
You can also use your own equipment as there is space available and there are also some tamarind trees on the right side in the shade of which you can relax.
Finally, there are also sea caves, under the church of Agios Georgios, to explore.
Access to the beach is by road from Agios Minas through a passable dirt road of approximately 4 kilometers long and you will not face any problem with parking when you arrive there.
